HOT STONE
In this specialty treatment, a massage therapist uses smooth, heated stones either as a massage tool or places them directly on specific points along the body to create soothing pressure. In addition to loosening up muscles, this relaxing therapy also helps to open up blood vessels and improve circulation.
DEEP TISSUE
Deep tissue massage employs direct, firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deep layers of muscle and the tissues that surround them. It is extremely beneficial in the treatment of chronic aches and pains, specifically in the neck, upper and lower back, legs, and shoulders as it breaks down muscular scar tissues and knots.
CUPPING
Cupping is an ancient form of massage therapy that involves the placement of cups on the skin to generate suction. This creates a vacuum that draws up underlying soft tissue wherein localized healing begins to take place. The sensation is relaxing and can help to treat anxiety, as well as increase circulation and provide pain management.
ACUPRESSURE
Developed from ancient Chinese medicine, acupressure utilizes precise finger and pressure placement over particular points on the body to activate them (the same points are used in acupuncture). This activation helps to increase blood flow, relieve pain, reduce tension in muscles, and promote deep states of relaxation.
